If your bed doesn’t have a headboard, you can of course make one yourself. Just as much fun! Making a headboard doesn’t have to be difficult either. We explain the most easy and beautiful ideas for a headboard.
Pallets and scaffolding wood
Yeah, there they are again. Pallets. Basically, you can use pallets for almost any DIY project. It’s best to take the pallets apart.
If you don’t have pallets, but you do have wood, cut all the pieces of wood in the same size for above the bed. It is best to keep the width of the bed.
Put the shelves together, and your headboard’s ready.
Getting started with fabric
If wood is a bit too tough, you can also use fabric. Just a little more chic than wood.
From plush to linen. Basically you can use any fabric for the headboard. With one course of three to four buttons you complete the headboard.
Headboard with storage
Do you have a very spacious bedroom? Then you can use the back of the bed as storage space. We recommend a closet with several doors. Extra storage space and a nice headboard!
In an extremely large bedroom you can also use the closet as a sort of partition. Behind the headboard, for example, you can store a clothes rack. This way you can create your own walk-in closet!
