Could the kitchen use a facelift? With small adjustments to the kitchen cabinets, you can create a completely new atmosphere. And, not unimportantly, you don’t need a large budget.
The makeover starts with a plan
Take a critical look at your kitchen and write down everything you don’t like. Once you have mapped out all the flaws and blemishes, it’s time for a plan. Which colours do you want to work with?
Besides colour, material is an important aspect of a makeover. The same goes for the look of the cabinets. Do you want to go for high gloss or matt? The choice is yours.
New cabinet doors
A cabinet door has a huge impact on a kitchen. In a makeover, kitchen cabinets are the first step you take.
Kitchen doors can be refurbished in two ways:
- Put in new doors
- Paint the current doors
Good to know! If you opt for new cabinet doors it is not necessary to demolish the entire kitchen. You can leave the construction. The only thing that changes is the new doors that you put in the construction.
New handles
Of course it is possible that you have cupboard doors without handles. Then this tip unfortunately does not apply. Especially for anyone with handles on cupboard doors, replace the handles.
Choose a leather handle, a matte black handle or rose-coloured version. Play with colour and material, but stick to the plan. Or adjust the plan where necessary and possible.
