How to make a pallet bookshelf

Supplies

  • Pallet
  • (Battery) saw
  • Sandpaper (180 grit paper)
  • Hammer
  • Nails

Step 1

Use the (battery) saw to remove 1/3 of the pallet.

Step 2

Then use the saw to remove one long plank from the remaining 2/3rd part of the pallet.

Step 3

You may not expect it, but you’re almost done! The loose shelf you sawed loose in step 2 will be the bottom of the bookshelf.

Step 4

Grab the part of the pallet that you sawed loose during step 1. This is the bookshelf. The part with the different heights is the top. Turn the pallet around.

Step 5

Then attach the loose shelf to the underside of the bookshelf. Use the hammer with the nails.

Make sure that the underside is very well attached to the sides.

Step 6

It is wise to use sandpaper along all the edges of the bookshelf. We use 180 grit sandpaper.

Step 7

And then the pallet bookshelf is ready! A DIY project doesn’t have to be complicated and time consuming.

Would you like to brighten up the bookshelf? Then of course you can still work on it with paint. You can also attach a hanging system to the back. This way you can even enjoy the bookshelf at height.
