How to make a home from the hallway!

By Danique

Brighten up the least sexy room in your house? Yes you can! With 3 simple solutions you can turn the hallway into your home. A space that is often forgotten: the hallway. Plants in a hallway are not very common. Still, plants in the hallway create a truly homely atmosphere. There is nothing more fun than actually entering a hallway where it immediately feels like home.

How do you make the hallway your home? With plants of course! Plants are not only healthy, they also give a soothing and warm feeling. And let that be exactly the feeling you like as soon as you enter your house.

Below we provide creative solutions to add plants to your corridor.

On the bookshelf

Besides a coat rack and a shoe rack you probably don’t have anything in your hallway. Maybe a bench or a chair, but that was it. Have you ever thought of hanging a bookshelf in your hallway? Not only super practical, also very cozy!

On the bookshelf you can place a bowl for the keys. You can also create a separate place for the wallet, and put a glass box with some change. Practical yet stylish solutions.

And in addition to all these practical solutions, you can of course add decorative accessories. Think of a painting, figurine and of course extra plants!

Take advantage of the height

Do you have a high ceiling in the hallway? Take advantage of that! Choose beautiful hanging plants in an eye-catching design. Hang the plants from the ceiling, or hang them on the long wall. This not only gives the plants space to grow, it also gives your hallway a boost.

In the corner

Right next door there is exactly one place left for a beautiful plant. Choose a real eye-catcher such as a Strelitzia or a beautiful palm.

Also nice: put a plant on a raised platform. Think of a small table, chair or other piece of furniture on which you can place the plant. This makes walking into the house even more fun!
