DIY: Making a dreamcatcher

by Danique

in Home interior design

Supplies

  • Wooden ring or embroidery ring
  • Rope or fabric
  • Thread
  • Optional: beads

Step 1

Grab the ring and wrap rope or fabric around the ring. You can wrap the whole ring, or just one or a few parts. The choice is yours of course!

Step 2

Attach some loops to the ring with thread, wool or rope.

Step 3

From the loop you can make the spider’s web. To make an official dreamcatcher you keep a hole free in the middle. Although of course you can use as much thread as you want.

Tip! You can also add some beads. To secure the beads, make a small knot around the bead with the thread. After that you can continue with the thread. You can also use figures in the dreamcatcher. For a figure it is best to use iron wire. You then wrap the thread around the iron wire, so that the figure is in the same style as the rest of the dreamcatcher.

And that was it! Making a dreamcatcher is super easy. Enjoy!
