Creating colourful easter eggs

by Danique
4 April 2019
in Home interior design

Of course, when spring arrives, the anticipatory fun for Easter begins. The Easter branches come from the attic, coloured eggs are hung up and the dark accessories make way for lighter ones.

A fun activity to do together with your child(ren) is decorating eggs. Good preparation is half the work. And the anticipatory fun makes it extra fun.

Supplies

  • Eggs
  • Egg box
  • Pan of water
  • Coloured crayons

Step 1

Boil the eggs. Sounds easy, but of course everyone has their own preference. Soft or hard boiled out. Boil them like you always would.

Step 2

After cooking it is best to cool the eggs with cold water. Let them cool down in the cold water for about 1 to 2 minutes. This makes it just a little easier to grab the eggs.

Step 3

Return the eggs to their egg carton. This makes it easier to decorate the eggs. Grab the crayons and unleash your creativity.

As the eggs have not completely cooled down after about 2 minutes, the crayon melts. This gives the eggs a special look.

Step 4

After decorating you can put the eggs in the fridge for about 5 minutes. After this you can go over the eggs with crayon. Because the eggs are now completely cooled down, the creation you now add is permanent.

Good luck! Do you have any nice decorating tips of your own? Share them! We’re curious to see what your eggs look like at Easter.
