There are several ways you can use a chalkboard. Simply as decoration, photo or game object, notepad or guestbook. Especially the game object is a lot of fun. Write objects and/or famous people on the boards, and you’ll have your own ‘Who is it?’ game variant in no time.
The best part is that you can buy a ready-made chalkboard, but you can also make one yourself. What can you do with chalkboard paint? We’ve collected the best ideas.

Decorating glassware
Decorating glasses with chalkboard paint is a lot of fun to do with kids. Make trays with the paint and let the children dip the glass in the paint tray. This can be done with the whole glass, of course, but only part of the bottom is also fun. Leave the space just big enough for the first names.
You could also use tape to make two straight lines on the glass. Paint with a brush a line between the tape lines. In that stripe you can draw a nice pattern with chalk, but also the name of the type of drink and a first name.
Refurbishing cabinet doors
How nice is it to brighten up your children’s closet with chalkboard paint? Or are you waiting for a kitchen cabinet? Nice for both the inside and outside of the closet doors. Handy for your shopping list or just to write and draw.
On the wall
Extra fun is to apply chalkboard paint on the wall in a shaped form. Think of a fish on the kitchen wall, a city view on the wall of the children’s room or just a simple surface.
Freshen up flower pots
Just like the glasses, decorating flower pots with chalkboard paint is fun to do. The underside of a terracotta flowerpot, or just the top edge. Very nice to write down the kind of plant, herbs or vegetables.
