DYI: A photo montage wall in the bedroom

Photos or paintings in the bedroom. What is not recommended and what is recommended? And where do you hang those lists? We are happy to share our tips.

1. Photos above the bedside table

If you are afraid to hang paintings or photo frames above your head, a bedside table is the perfect solution. And it is still fun!

Draw an imaginary line from the sides of the bedside table. Draw this line upwards and hang the frames in these lines. Choose a frame in different sizes and colours to match the atmosphere of the room.

2. Around your bed

And we mean really all around. So not just above the sleeping area, but as a kind of frame around your bed. But on the wall.

Adding moldings around your bed is perfect for a stylishly decorated room. Choose photo frames in all sizes and explain them for you. To keep it calm, it is important that all lists fit together in a line. So no protruding corners and frames!

3. Above your bed

To give the room tranquility and at the same time playfulness you can hang picture frames above your bed. Keep the symmetry in by aligning the frames from one side to the other. Provide frames in subtle colours to match the bedroom.

Tip: do you want to go for a minimalist atmosphere? Then opt for black-and-white photos and neutral images.

4. In the corner

Do you have an empty wall left in the bedroom? For some glamour you can hang 9 square frames. Chic and stylish. Hang them in the corner of your room or above a nice chair.

5. Above the cupboard or sideboard

Do you have a closet that doesn’t reach up to the ceiling? Then of course you can also hang frames above the cupboard. That is, if the cupboard alone isn’t too exuberant.

In order not to make it too exuberant, we recommend hanging the frames in straight lines. Choose quiet prints or black and white photos.
