Creating a Meaningful Home blog series featured on www.sasinteriors.net

Now that I've been blogging for almost 3 years (which I can't believe),  I feel that I have created a platform to share inspirational ideas and techniques to create a home that may have only been dreamt about in the past.  With each and every post, I strive to inspire others through my words, personal DIY creations, and experience as a Designer.  I have opened up my home in hopes to share and show others that a home should be a place you love and enjoy living.  A home should reflect who you are.  A home should tell your story, thus creating a meaningful home. Starting Monday, 5/6, and … [Read more...]

Summer Home Decor Trends

Summer Decor Trends Twitter Party

I can not be more happy that Spring is here and Summer is fastly approaching.  As the seasons change, so is my decor.  It's time to ditch the heavy wools and tweeds, and move towards lighter-weight cottons and linens. As I'm in the midst of preparing for the warmer months ahead, I was asked to join Heather, of Hometalk, in a Twitter chat about Summer Home Decor Trends.  I am thrilled and excited to be able to share my design thoughts and ideas on what's hot for the coming months. The chat will take place tomorrow night: Thursday, May 2nd from 9-10 PM EST and will include myself, … [Read more...]

DIY: Vertical Pallet Garden

DIY: Vertical Pallet Garden by @Jenna_Burger, SASinteriors.net

Spring Mantel with Sensational Succulents - Creative ideas for bringing in natural elements by @Jenna_Burger, SASinteriors.net

Happy Monday!  Yes, it's Spring, but sadly it doesn't feel like it (at least here in NY). I am so ready for the warmer days ahead and am yearning for the array of colorful flowers, the endless chirping of birds, and the sounds of outdoor laughter.  I know it'll be here soon, but I am just ready for winter (and the endless snow) to be over. In my search for all things Spring, I decided this years seasonal mantel had to include elements of the outdoors. Last Friday when perusing the aisles of Lowe's, specifically the outdoor section, I saw a huge display of succulents.  I immediately knew … [Read more...]
