I’m Robin from All Things Heart and Home and I’m so happy to be visiting you and Jenna today, talking about some of the ways I create a meaningful home. Home. What do you think of when you hear the word? I’m immediately filled with a sense of well being. A sense of place. And those feelings have little to do with how fancy my rooms are decorated. When I moved out of my parent’s home decades ago, I lived in a four-room garage … [Read more...]

A Dream Oasis…

August 3, 2014

I love my home.  Every nook-and-crannie has either been renovated, painted, or touched in some way to make it ours. BUT, I still dream.  I dream of creating an oasis where I can completely step away from it all, relax 100%, and all be mine - just for a moment.  Even though I love color, I dream of this oasis to be serene, quiet, and totally zen.  Soft pinks, hues of white, all surrounded by fluffy pillows and fun textures. Like living on a cloud... So what triggered this post on creating my dream oasis?  Dyson recently reached out to me about creating a magical dream space and even though I … [Read more...]

August 1, 2014

It's August - WOW!  Where has the Summer gone?!  Obviously for me with a newborn (+ 2 older kids), it's been a busy few weeks, but I just can't believe the days are passing by so quickly.  For some of you back to school is only a few short days away.  For us, school doesn't start till after Labor Day so we get to enjoy few more weeks of late mornings, lazy days, and soaking up the sun! Welcome Carmel… ******************* Hello!  I'm Carmel from Our Fifth House, and I'm honored to be participating in Jenna's Creating a Meaningful Home series.  I believe that a home is about so much more than a place.  In fact the tag line in my blog header reads "where home isn't a place, it's a state of being."  As someone who has moved around a bit I've come to learn that no matter where I live I'll always be home if my heart is filled with joy and contentment. I'm a big believer … [Read more...]

Today’s guest post for the Creating a Meaningful Home Blog Series is Danielle of Finding Silver Pennies. Welcome Danielle… ******************* I'm Danielle and my blog is Finding Silver Pennies. I'm so excited to be here today on SAS Interiors sharing my thoughts on creating a meaningful home. A home is sooooo much more than a building. The items we chose to bring into our home, or that we salvage & breathe … [Read more...]
