13 Christmas Porches, Doors, and Entryways

November 27, 2012

Since the interior is complete, this past weekend (and alittle part of yesterday) I was focusing on decking out the front porch for Christmas.

For some reason I always have a little difficulty with decorating the front porch because the scale of things needs to be larger than the interior and the pesky lights never stay where I need them to – I am just NOT handy with lights!

After a few hours, way too many edits, broken bulbs, and a couple of trips to Lowes, I am finally satisified with our front porch. And I have to say, it’s our best yet.  More on that soon, but in the the meantime I’ve compiled some gorgeous and inspiring Christmas porches, doors, and entryways.

Enjoy and Be Inspired…

Surrounded in cedar garland (a favorite of mine), this entryway by At the Picket Fence is beautifully decorated for the Holidays.

What a perfect setting for Christmas.  I’d love to grab a mug of hot chocolate and spend a few hours opening all those presents, wouldn’t you?! via Southern Living

What a gorgeous entryway by Kate of Centsational Girl.  The scale of the large potted poinsettias are perfect for the front porch.

What a fun entryway.  Vibrant reds and bright greens welcome guests as they approach this home created by Party Wishes.

A charming, rustic porch with a fun bell wreath on the front door flanked by tall potted branches with hanging ornaments.  Created by Lisa Leaonard.

A live snowglobe – the perfect winter wonderland by the Cottage in the Oaks.

Kids love colored lights – at least mine do, so this one would be a favorite for many.  via Cottage Living
