Displaying Memories in Glass Jars

Beach Treasures

I guarantee if you don't live by the beach and only have the opportunity to visit once or twice a year, you (and your kids) collect and bring home bucketfuls of shells and rocks.  On our recent vacation to the glorious Martha's Vineyard, we were grateful to visit two beautiful beaches that were filled with these must-bring-home collectibles. But when I got home, these treasures sat in the garage, and the memory of the amazing beach filled days disappeared.  I knew I had to do something with them. While on my daily a TJ Maxx visit the other day, I picked up a large glass jar and … [Read more...]

5 Ways to Repurpose a Wine Barrel

August 11, 2011

Wine Barrel

I'll admit that I enjoy a nice glass of wine every once in a while, but I never thought about getting an actual barrel of wine.... until now.  Living far from wine country, barrels are difficult to come by in my neck of the woods, but I recently stumbled upon some unique and interesting ways to repurpose wine barrels (that don't relate to drinking).   Kate of Centsational Girl does live in wine country (lucky duck) and has quite the advantage of getting her hands on some awesome wine barrels.  Upon being inspired by this planter, she decided to create her own.  Isn't it awesome?!  … [Read more...]

Table_Lighting

Finding the perfect light fixture for a space is always so exciting!  But have you ever been confused about the right height to hang it or wondered if the fixture is too big or too small for the room?   Put those worries aside, because I've got the answers!
